Tony Simon founded Simon Consulting Services (SCS) in 2016 with the goal of putting over fifteen years of experience in government and politics to work for his clients. Tony’s expertise in government relations and strategic planning has earned SCS a reputation for delivering successful results for a portfolio of clients that range from the international level to the local level.
Before founding SCS, Tony was chief of staff to Providence Mayor Jorge O. Elorza, where he oversaw the communications, policy, administrative, and political functions of City Hall. Prior to his appointment in Providence, Tony served as U.S. Senator Sheldon Whitehouse’s Deputy State Director, where for over eight years he was a senior advisor on issues of local and national significance.
Throughout his career, Tony has held strategic roles on numerous local, statewide and national political campaigns. He was campaign manager for Senator Whitehouse’s 2012 re-election bid and Deputy Campaign Manager for Whitehouse’s historic 2006 victory. Tony has served as the Rhode Island Democratic Party’s Coordinated Campaign Director and has provided strategic support on several presidential campaigns.
Tony is a graduate of the University of Rhode Island. He is a proud member of the Board of Directors of Crossroads Rhode Island, and resides in Providence with his wife and two children.
